The IDC vendor assessment for the integrated talent management market, "IDC Marketscape: Worldwide Integrated Talent Management 2010 Vendor Analysis(1)," represents IDC's opinion on which vendors are well positioned today through current capabilities, and which are best positioned to gain market share over the next few years. In the Integrated Talent Management category, IDC positioned SuccessFactors in the "Leader" category, based on its capabilities, strategy, market share and growth. Named a market leader by IDC for two consecutive years, SuccessFactors' Business Execution (BizX) Suite rated higher this year in both overall strategy and overall capabilities than in last year's assessment.
In its analysis, IDC said SuccessFactors "has strong market presence and positioning, continuous innovation in the category and market momentum." IDC also cited SuccessFactors' Business Execution (BizX) Software, strategy and roadmap as a progressive move to go past traditional people performance and "tackle business performance" noting, "No doubt one of SuccessFactors' strengths is in comprehensive goal-setting and this appears to be a natural extension."
